Of paramount importance in any facility is the need to provide safety for the people working in the building. PSI thoroughly trains all its employees in all safety procedures. It is mandatory for Utility Specialists to place warning cones, warning chains or signs in the area that they will be working before any floor cleaning operations can commence. They are also instructed to clean only half of the floor at one time to enable tenants to use the halls and lobbies. It is the tenants right to freely come and go as is necessary without fear for their safety. Light Duty Specialists, Restroom Specialists and other workers are given labeled product containers to easily identify chemicals used in sundry cleaning operations. No unidentified products are kept in the storage areas that could lead to mishandling of cleaning products. MSD Sheets will be furnished by PSI and at the disposal of management for their inspection.

With the concept of "Team Cleaning" comes the additional benefit of energy cost saving for the property. With the old method of "Zone Cleaning" the entire building lighting system was on because each floor had its own cleaner doing all the jobs. In team cleaning only those floors that are actually being cleaned have lights on and only in the area being cleaned. Once the job is done we turn out the lights and move to the next area. Unnecessary waste of energy is eliminated.
